New Model deserves a better rating

This is the newest model of the Men's high timber mountain bike from Schwinn. It has a new Shimano gear shift that works very well and the high timber bar has a new curve to it. Otherwise it is just like the previous model. Assembly/instructions are very detailed. If you have no experience putting together a bike like the other reviewer this could pose a challenge but with a little time it easy to. Install the seat, pedals, stem with handlebars, and front tire and you are off! Packaging is excellent and arrived in perfect condition. Great entry level mountain bike. Highly recommended for men or women! Went for an initial 14 mile ride and it performed excellent.

I bought this bike around a month ago after reading a lot of reviews from different sites. Not having the back springs seems like a disadvantage at first but the bike is comfortable enough with what it has. The handling is nice and stable, the frame is rigid and light. The seat is very comfortable. The shifting gears is easy and after initial adjustment, I did not have any further issues with it. The bike comes in a box, so you need basic skills for the assembly. Overall, this is not a hard core mountain bike, but i can handle some easy terrains. If you are thinking to buy a road bike afraid of the sideways and bumps on the road, you can easily go with this bike. I bought the bike for over $200 on amazon, with the current price, it is even better.

Much better quality than I expected and assembly was a snap. Very happy with this choice as we were looking for a general bike, nothing super high end.
